Yoast

Yoast is my favorite and preferred WordPress plug-in for performing search engine optimization (SEO) on my clients’ blogs, as well as my own!. Yoast allows you to optimize all of your website content for readability and higher rank on search engines. It shows you areas where you can improve to get a better SEO score.

Yoast is free and has a premium version that helps you get the best possible SEO scores on your web content. The premium version will help you to avoid those 404 errors that lead to dead-ends on your website. Yoast’s website also has free tips on how to improve your SEO in your writing. You can take SEO training courses, too!

Grammarly

As a writer, I love Grammarly! It’s a cloud-based writing assistant that reviews your spelling, grammar, punctuation, and so much more. I use it to double-check my work so that my writing is always professional. It goes beyond your basic grammar check. Grammarly will also suggest word changes and suggest ways you can rewrite sentences to make your writing read better.

Grammarly is available as a Chrome extension, for MS Word and even your phone and tablet!

This is an excellent tool for any entrepreneur who wants to ensure their business writing is grammatically correct.

You can use it to check your writing on emails, Google Docs, and MS Word docs. If you load it to your phone’s keyboard, it will even check your grammar in texts!

Coschedule Headline Analyzer

This is my favorite tool for creating the best blog headlines that drive traffic to my clients’ websites. It provides me with a score so I can aim for excellent SEO for your blog!

Use the Coschedule Headline Studio to optimize any headline you write. It uses over 50 different data points to evaluate your headlines, email subject lines, and ad titles on a scale of 1 to 100. It checks for readability, SEO, and sentiment (emotion) so you can grab the attention of your readers and get more clicks to your website!

Last Pass

Last Pass is a password management program that allows you to securely store all of your usernames and passwords in one location. It’s available as a Chrome browser extension, plug-in for various web browsers, and smartphone app.

Last Pass is perfect for sharing your login information to access websites with your team or clients without giving them your personal login credentials. I use this to log into my clients’ WordPress websites to load their blogs and perform the SEO.

Canva

Canva is one of my favorite programs that I use to design graphics for social media posts, logos, flyers, business cards, stationery, and so much more. You can use it for FREE or upgrade to the paid version for more options.  Canva has an easy-to-use drag and drop feature and templates to help you choose the correct size for the project you are working on.

Canva is also a great place to find professional stock photos for your blog, newsletter, and more! You can create social media banners, proposals, infographics, flyers, ads, and more! It’s fun to play around in Canva and see what kind of images you can create.

Canva is also great for your branding! Use the brand kit to save your brand colors, font, and logo to add to the graphics you create.

Slack

Slack is a business communication platform. With so many working virtually, this is a great instant messaging platform you can use on your PC and your phone.

You can add team members for group messaging or individual messaging. Create channels based on the topics you commonly discuss in your team, add your business logo, and even use fun emojis!

Use this as your messaging app to replace the repetitive email chain and text messaging. You can even share documents within Slack, making a seamless way to communicate with your business associates.

Make Your Content a Priority.

I certainly will.
